Worlds inside a 40"x60" wall

In many ways this seems more like painting than photography. Am I a painter trapped in a photographer's body?

I take advantage of the minimal topography of the stucco. I use the opposite sides of the tiny stucco mountains to place one color against the other. I can get two opposite or near opposite colors that will sit next to each other and vibrate.

The flat surface is sculpt into dimensional reliefs with a small Light and then color is layered in to add the illusion of near and far. The warm colors move forward and the cooler colors recede.
